Why Malaysian non-Muslims tease Islam however we don’t see such provocations from the some other side?

negarakuku namewee question by AQ [ganja flavor] : Why Malaysian non-Muslims ridicule Islam but we don’t see such provocations from the opposite?
First, forego implicating me of distorting the harmony – somebody else does.
I saw a set of provocations and insults on Islam, and although it is not my abit to identify I shall this time, it’s primarily Malaysian Chinese that do it. Bloggers, Namewee with his Negarakuku track … you name it!
I haven’t discover a Malay raper who ridicules Christianity or Buddhism or Malay bloggers that ridicule Buddhism, Christianity, Taoism etc
. It is hard to speak about racial harmony in Malaysia when many of Chinese are reluctant to condemn Namewee for exactly what he did. To most he is a hero and several identify themselves with his lyrics.
It is hypocritical to grumble against Bumi rights and on the some other hand insult and provoke.
I ponder why such provocations only come from one side?
Please exclude politicians, government and opposition, focus on the nation.
Why provocations occur so often and why just from 1 side? What are those individuals up to?
I’m not chatting about Yahoo! Answers. I’m talking in general. Namewee is extremely Malaysian …
Rhino, I didn’t point out ALL. I said SOME, while ther are NONE provocations from the some other side …
Jedi, can you offer me even more details on the occurrence?
Christian countries, such as Italy where Christianity is the official religion didn’t prohibit the Passion of the Christ, it were Jews and Christian Zionist movements that demanded the ban.
Namewee apologised, so I didn’t point out punish him, the problem is the LYRICS STAY and MANY CHINESE LOVE IT. SO how can there be harmony if lots of Chinese love the insulting part?
Meerkat, separate between racism and religion slurs. In fact, I was advised to go “back” to China by some retarded JAKIM official although I have no forefathers from China nor do I look Chinese/Asian.
Excuse me bear, I do not do such stuff however they insulted me too. I have absolutely nothing to do with Malaysian federal government and ketuanan Melayu, so why they need to insult me?
A taste of my very own medicine maybe?
MLP is a really good example of an insulting provocator. Although there are occassional occurences of Muslims insulting some other religion, they are a zillion times less relentless and offensive than MLP and him alike. And I’m not rying to defend them.

new_once, subtitled variation is readily available on Youtube. That’s just how I know.
Men, can you advise the distinction between racial thing and religious thing?
It’s none of my company if Chinese and Malays desire to do racism on each additional, although I think that’s bad, but it becomes my company when I am being insulted.

Our police has another name called MATA Since their eyes are very sharp When new year is near, they appear to be incredibly hardworking They will take out the pens, but they don’t open the ticket to you Because they are too thirsty & they have to drink TEA And additionally black coffee, wish some more sugar? If included more sugar, they might grin more happily to you They ‘d also state TATA to you when you’re about to leave This kind of phenomenon, no need to be enhanced There is NO need to improve cooperation between police & citizens Relationship wouldn’t change for one cup of coffee I want it so much At the very least I will not get fine ticket when I get home If so, my father must be mad about me I must be cursed, no automobile for me Damn it, what can I do this time? don’t assume they are all from Malaysian, you have many trolls here you only purpose in life is to cause controversies. do as i do, try to never take anything said here seriously.
thats not entirely true. I am a non-muslim and i don’t make fun of Islam and i don’t think many Muslims make fun of christianity either, i think they are a bit more serious about it. e.g. when i was at school a bunch of malay boys found a bible on the ground, one of them got a stick to turn it over as if he was poking a dead lizard. The other boys were shouting “don’t touch it or the devil will enter through your hand” in the end a teacher (a malay) told them to leave it alone and he picked it up and burned it in the incinerator at the back of the school. Why didn’t he just throw it in the bin?? why burn it?
my point is, they don’t make fun of it, those boys and maybe the teacher actually feared it.
hate me, but i totally agree with Rhino. I have Christian friends who want to convert into Christianity but got beated up pretty bad by the islamic authorities. Beaten up – pukul! Not fair at all.bumi / islam rights.
who said so, the reason is that when Muslim provoke non Muslim it’s consider a small issue and yet when non Muslim provoke the Muslim it became a big hot issue. Let me illustrate my point and refresh your memory. Do you recall the incident way 300 Muslim gather in font of parish of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Perak last Nov 5, Any yet no action was taken against those idiots that use seditious words towards the priest, swearing and threating to burn the church . Obviously it was a double standards over the issue thats is totally disgusted and cheated the right of peaceful and harmonious Christian. Where there is no justice there will be no peace. Now the case has been closed , swept under the carpet
And why the movie Passion of Christ was ban while the Da Vinci Code was not banned
And list goes on and on
To AQ you have mis comprehend my statement i mean the movie Passion of Christ was banned in Malaysia and yet the movie Da Vinci Code was allowed in Malaysia.
As for the Perak church you can look for it through google search engine
It just that you didn’t encounter before.
In Malaysia, I work in web hosting & web sites industries there were bloggers that blogs about racist & religion stuffs they were reported & automatically removed. Even in forums as well.
But if you VISIT & spend time enough there are MANY forums in Malaysia insulting Chinese religions. A few years back there used to be wars online. I’ve read my fair share of it & deeply sadden by it. Reports & etc. to remove it were not heed because the WEBMASTER itself actually started the anti-other religion pro-Muslim only in that website forum.
It’s so EASY for you to say, Muslims did nothing provocative to non-Muslims in this country.
You’ve never been spat on the face.
You’ve never been called as a babi nor told to go back to China JUST despite us NEVER doing ANYTHING back.
In universities, professors supplies answers & tips to Muslims but not to non-Muslims because they find hey Chinese are so hardworking why bother. It’s hard enough for Chinese to enter local universities. But many times no matter how good they do, their grades are always lesser than those that attempted less in their projects.
It’s unfair for Malaysia to blame the brain drain on Chinese, I understand them because many FAILED to get scholarships nor even OFFERED a place in universities despite their excellent academic & co-curriculum results. When places like Singapore, UK, US offered them scholarships, jobs, house & etc. which individual wouldn’t take the opportunity to survive in this world. Till today, I’m still amazed by how scholarships were distributed. But in the end, there’s always a God’s way for people to survive. I’m both sad & glad that although many of my none Muslims friends had to leave this country to study but they’ve found work. They were given a chance that their own country didn’t grant them.
I’ve “unknown users/anonymous” that insulted my friend’s Buddhist website by saying they pray on statues & eat dirty creatures.
Based on the IP address tracked it belonged to some Malay names. Now I’m not saying it’s 100% Muslim commentor can be anyone.
It’s so EASY for anyone to ridicule other religion without STATING their identity out.
If you’ve been reading newspapers ENOUGH, or you can ASK elders in Malaysia. Even Malay newspapers DID wrote some provocative issues on the newspapers before. But they’ve always their boss to protect or they can just write an apology statement on the new the next day or so.
(I’m not interested to track down the archives & write down the issues. It will only further bring up the fire).
In Singapore there were bloggers sentenced to jail/other punishment by their actions.
When Kg. Baru the Indians & Malays clashed. My mamak (Indian + Malay marriage) friend weren’t protected. Malays from various states came to “cleansed” the village wanted to clean off the Indians they were insulted not really as Muslim & with tarnish blood & made them CHOOSE which side they were in. My mamak friend & her family had to live in fear & move to relative’s.
I’m a free thinker, when started to join Christian fellowships & gatherings. I had my fair share of Muslims “trying to brainwash me” not to join them & all the negative comments about it, despite my objective of just joining the Christian gatherings for fun, to meet more people & to join forces with other clubs (since I’m a member) to do charities.
It’s just so easy for you to view things from a corner for you have not endure a taste of the pain.
People in Malaysia are afraid to speak up because there’s no Freedom of Speech, there’s no strict laws like in Singapore.
Speaking of Namewee, he DID apologize it’s just that many don’t forgive him & he made all those videos & showing his FACE even blogs about his identity. He’s NOT afraid to voice himself. Since you stated “To most he is a hero and many identify themselves with his lyrics.”
Well precisely that’s my point.
“Why Malaysian non-Muslims make fun of Islam but we don’t see such provocations from the other side?”
because you’re only seeing from one angle side IT’S NOT the religion NOT the race but the heart of that individual.
Why is it always good and ‘okay’ to call Buddhists idol worshippers and ‘ignorant’ kafirs when it is not ‘okay’ to question the latter?
This trend has always been like that since a long time ago, buddy… (as Meerkat had mentioned)
Well, I’m not gonna say too much about this. I’m bored with it and its pretty stale to me. If there’s anything better for me to say, its just like giving those guys who insulted non-Muslims a taste of their own medicine. Just because Namewee made a name for himself, some bad Mullahs are now all out to kill him… is it fair?
After all, they wouldn’t be feeling ‘insulted’ if they were open enough and realized that they themselves had been ridiculing non-Muslims alike.
I have no idea how much you know about Mandarin & the lyrics in that song?
If you don’t understand Mandarin, please get some one who know Mandarin to translate the song lyrics to you in complete version so you can really understand what he have to say.
NOT only listen to those politician who try to provoke the issue as they have no credit to show to the public as a MP.
Frankly speaking, he is telling the truth & it is not allow in this country to challenge the ruling party.
