Kuta is the main tourist spot on the island and we definately wanted to prevent it. TB is a tiny peninsula and belongs to an place referred to as Nusa Dua. There’s only one road by means of the spot and on the beach side are largely 5 star resorts (out of our spending budget), so we lodged at the only far more or much less spending budget spot on the other side of the road. We had been quite beat soon after the hectic life of Singapore, so we spent the initial day sleeping and relaxing. We explored the beach too, but it wasn’t very good. The swimmingpools of the resorts undoubtedly have been even though. On the third day we took a cab to Kuta, exactly where we were greeted by some touts for a hotel, who pressed some lottery tickets into our hands. And yes, we’ve won (T-Shirt and a camcorder or 500USD cash), but we’d have to go to their hotel and look around, and so on and so forth. I do not know if it was a scam or not, but we didn’t want to waste any time, so we left them standing there. Kuta Beach was as terrible as we feared it would be. A lot of tourists, most of them trying to understand surfing. There had been also a lot of hawkers, so you could barely read half a page of your book before having to fend 1 of them off. At least they had a Pizza Hut, where we enjoyed a excellent western lunch. Next up was the small island …
