We stayed at a very modest (!) hotel but the beach was proper on the doorstep. The very first morning we made our way down to the black sand amongst fishing boats on the beach and had to walk across rocks which gave us some low-cost foot reflexology. The paddle out was extended but we made our way to a good beach break where I got in a couple of great waves.
