Am sending out this first entry belatedly as didn’t have everyone’s address on file when I typed this up at first. There will be images too (wow!) when I remember to come to an world wide web cafe armed with memory stick. -Been in Bali a week. Staying here a single a lot more week til heading off to Oz. -This location is lovely! Palm trees, coconut trees and exotic flowers abound! -Observed rather a lot of the island already- we did a trip to the north of the island, stopping at volcanoes, temples, mountains, rice fields etc en-route. Even met some monkeys! No snakes, luckily! -Now in Kuta beach (the supposed ‘costa del sol’ of Bali- but not so poor in reality as what I imagine the Costa del Sol is like!) -Kuta beach is surfing territory- Lesley and I went for a surf this morning. The warm air temperature and warm(ish) sea makes a welcome change from icy Cornish waters!
