The next morning Chris and I headed out to the 14th century Candi Tebing, or Tebing shrine, carved right out of the rock. We then headed to the famous “Sacred Monkey Forest,” where the local monkeys basically have the run of the place and feast off the bananas purchased for them by generous tourists.
